Having responded to questions about the polymer clay purse I wore at the Emmy's a couple of weeks ago, I posted a picture of it on my Facebook pages. Due to several requests that have come in about how the purse is made, I am posting an inside view of the purse so the curious can see how it's attached (satin fabric hinge) and the closure (magnetic clasp). The inside is fabric covered chipboard and the outside is polymer clay made using the Millefiori, Skinner Blend, Mokume Gane, and Mica Shift techniques with freshwater pearls and seed bead accents (with satin handle).
In addition to this brief post, I've made an album of some polymer clay purses including the one I made for Julia Roberts. I invite you to view the "Purse" album attached (link located on the left-hand column of the blog page). Most of these are "minaudiere" or miniature purses. All feature polymer clay and many are accented with CRYSTALLIZED -Swarovski Crystals and other mixed mediums.
