At long last I've found a bit of downtime to post on my blog. It's been a crazy summer jammed packed with travel for shows. It's not over yet, but I thought I'd get some pictures up here of my latest trip to Art Unraveled.
It's my 7th consecutive year teaching at the show, since it's beginning. It's a favorite venue of mine. Linda Young, her husband Chuck and the rest of their family really know how to put on a great event. Many comment about the heat of Phoenix in August, but who cares when were creating in climate controlled comfort!
My classes have been great so far with one left to go tonight! This is such a warm, intimate show and it's great to see lots of familiar faces. There's incredible camaraderie among both students and instructors with a typical congregation of booth in the lobby lounge each evening. I always look forward to fun with friends such as Traci Bautista, Michael deMeng, Susan Lenart Kazmer, and Jane and Richard Salley.
Haley Hertz has been with me, being an indispensable aid in my classes. What a blessing to have her help! My hubby, Allen flew down Friday for my birthday and we had a wonderfully relaxing evening, followed by the always exciting vendor event. My booth was very busy, but thanks to the help of my Allen and Haley, I had a little time to get out and about to check out the exciting wares of my fellow vendors. I found some treasures and hope to get some down time to create with these cool finds soon.
You can check out show photos in the Art Unraveled blog album. I'll be adding more pix there later.
Nice picture. Looks like fun!
