Hitting the road

The summer travel season starts and that means loads of classes across the country with ho let up through the rest of the year. I'm so looking forward to each and every opportunity to share creative passion with everyone I meet. Links to more information are highlighted in blue.

It all starts next week in Milwaukee at the Bead and Button Show (June 2-8) where I'll be teaching for my sixth consecutive year. 

Soon afterward, I will be heading to San Jose for classes at June 26 and 27th, at the Work of Heart Studio. Here are links with more information about the classes offered over the weekend:

Then it's on to Chicago for the International Polymer Clay Association's Retreat (July 11-14), immediately followed at the same venue by the Metal Clay World Conference (July 15 - 18)

Then in August, I'll be in Phoenix for Art Unraveled with four technique packed and fun workshops, followed by Bead Fest Philadelphia (August 23)

Oh, Happy Day!

Not long ago I received some very exciting news. I had entered a fine silver pin into Rings & Things Design competition for 2009. It was made primarily from Art Clay Silver and submitted under the Metal Clay category. Late last week I arrived home to a wonderful e-mail that informed me that the piece had not only place first in it's category, but that it won Grand Prize overall. I am over the moon about this honor and after looking at my competition am very humbled at the caliber of work that was represented there. This really made my spring.
