...hours in the day to create! That's my ultimate frustration.
I find that the farther I get in my career, the less time I have in the studio which is sad. It has had the unforeseen benefit of making me more computer proficient. I don't know if that's good or bad. I think of it as a double edged sword. I am free to do things without relying on expensive experts, but the more you can do, the more others expect of you. Also with the advent of digital everything, I find that whatever is needed or wanted is demanded immediately. I long for the days when everyone expected everything would come in it's own good time. It seems I spend much of my days chained to the computer.
I do love the connections it has made with new friends; many of whom I've come to know in the actual world as well as cyberspace. I guess every advance has to have a few drawbacks, but I wish they would work on the cloning thing a bit more or develop that power over time and space we could all use.
I guess the secret is to remain flexible like my friend - Bendable Betty (see fresh from the studio gallery), or take out a little steam like my boys did for the holidays with their new Incredible Hulk boxing gloves. My hubby saw these at a store on a recent trip and had to buy another bag to schlepp them home. We thought Jeremiah and Nick would be beyond traditional toys, but when he saw them, Allen knew they'd get a kick out of them. They play lines from the movie like "Arrggghhhh, you're making me angry!" Dexter couldn't help but get in on the fun. Here's wishing all of you a bright year ahead! Happy New Year.
