Okay, so I'm a bad blogger. As a little girl, I was never very good at keeping a diary. In college I attempted journaling, but alas found it diffiult to stick with. I'd much rather be embellishing the cover of a journal that writing in one. As you can see in the gaps between the previous posts and today's, nothing much has changed. I'm really going to try and be more disciplined at this blogging thing.
I hope that those of you who frequent my website, but have given up on my blog will come back and give me another chance. I don't wish to be one of those people who catalogs every mundane detail of my life, and will hopefully offer something of substance or at least entertainment value to post on a semi frequent basis. For now I'll just upload some of my latest Art Clay Silver creations that I just finished working on.
I adore lockets and boxes, especially anything tiny. That's the inspiration for these latest hinged photo lockets and the piece which follows with exterior and detail photos (click on link for inside view of rectangular locket).
This was submitted in the 2007 National Metal Clay Challenge. It was the first thing I completed after getting my Level I instructor certification in the medium. Although it lacks humility, I'm honored to say it received 3rd place in national competition. I was personally tickled that it also incorporated two of my other favorite mediums: polymer clay and Swarovski Crystal. I welcome your comments on these pieces.View this photo
