Happy St. Patrick's Day! Today we're all Irish as many people like to say. What could be more fun than eating fish and chips, bangers and mash or shephard's pie along with a green beer! I consider myself lucky to have visited the Emerald Isle. What a lovely country it is, made more so by the warm and gracious people. I hope to visit again one day soon, but for now, lovely memories and photos suffice. Today's jar is extra lucky as it features 7, count 'em, "four leaf clovers." The largest millefiori clay slice rests atop a textured and foiled clay background. The smaller cane slices surrounding the rim were reduced from the larger original cane that graces the lid. SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS crystal graces the center of the main cane slice. After baking, I mixed green Art Institute Glitter into a small amount of Magic Glos UV resin and spread it around the white background of the cane slice. After curing for 5 minutes, I added another layer of resin to give the entire surface a smooth, glass-like cabochon effect.
