Not long ago I received some very exciting news. I had entered a fine silver pin into Rings & Things Design competition for 2009. It was made primarily from Art Clay Silver and submitted under the Metal Clay category. Late last week I arrived home to a wonderful e-mail that informed me that the piece had not only place first in it's category, but that it won Grand Prize overall. I am over the moon about this honor and after looking at my competition am very humbled at the caliber of work that was represented there. This really made my spring. Interesting how Sunday I was telling myself I should do this very same thing! The being creative everyday in April thing. See it's still a wee bit cold to go outside, spring isn't quiet here in beauty yet but it is in spirit.
